Robin Franks is the founder and President of TGE Resources. She is a fourth-generation Houstonian (born in downtown Houston); she graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena, Texas. She has deep roots in the energy industry and chose to enter the environmental field in the late 1980s, after earning dual BS degrees in Geology and Biology and her MS in Geology from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She met her husband (Steve) in college and they share three grown children; all call Houston home. She enjoys the outdoors, art, gardening, cooking, and her family.

Actively involved in the firm’s day-to-day, Robin shares her vision, expertise, and client-centered work ethic. She is involved in driving market selection and advancing the firm’s superior service offerings. With TGE’s solid management team, and Robin’s high level of technical capability, the firm has grown and maintained its reputation as a competitive and proficient services provider.

Robin leads the Litigation Support effort of the firm, with testifying experience in a diverse array of technical areas including real estate due diligence, industrial compliance auditing, oil and gas remediation, and broad-based industrial hygiene services (asbestos, lead-based paint, indoor air quality, and mold/bioaerosol consulting).

Robin is a Licensed Professional Geoscientist in Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Mississippi. She is a Master Level Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), a Corrective Action Project Manager (CAPM – Texas), a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO -NRC Compliant), and holds certifications and licensing for asbestos, lead, and microbial assessment and corrective action across multiple states in the U.S.
